An introduction to the nomenclature, preparation, properties, and reactions of organic compounds, with attention to biological significance. This course is designed for students in Biological and Applied Sciences who are required to take only one semester of organic chemistry.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1020  or CHEM 1220
