The first of a standard three-course sequence on the foundations of differential and integral calculus. Topics include limits, continuity, the derivative, techniques of differentiation, applications of the derivative, antiderivatives, definite integrals, the calculus of transcendental functions, applications of definite integrals, work and volume.

Prerequisite(s): Minimum mathematics ACT score of 28 or a grade of “C” or better in MATH 1750
