MATH 1850 - CONTEMPORARY MATHEMATICS

Louisiana Common Course Number: CMAT 1103, Contemporary Math

An introduction to topics in contemporary mathematics. Topics may be selected from the theory of finance, perspective and symmetry in art, formal Aristotelian logic, graph theory, probability and odds, elementary number theory, optimization, numeracy in the real world, and historical topics in mathematics that have influenced contemporary mathematics.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 1050  or MATH 1070  or MATH 1610
