Communication and Media Studies
Students wishing to major in Communication and Media Studies leading to the degree Bachelor of Arts must complete a total of 120 credits as outlined in the four-year curriculum.
Concentrations are optional, more extensive studies in a specific area are designed to give students the opportunity for greater depth and breadth of knowledge within one area of study. Requirements for individual concentrations are listed in the program of study pages of the catalog.
We ask that students meet with their advisors for guidance within their area of interest.
Honors Diploma in the Discipline
For information on earning Sophomore Honors Distinction, Senior Honors Distinction, or the Honors Diploma, please consult The University Honors Program section of this catalog, the Director of the Honors Program, and/or your Department Head.
Minors
The Minor in Communication is 18 hours. Students are required to take COMM 1510 and COMM 2110 . Past that, students must take 12 additional hours, 6 of which must be at the 3000-4000 level.
