The College of Education, Health and Human Sciences administratively is composed of the Departments of Applied Human Sciences; Educational Leadership, Counseling, and Research; Educator Preparation; Kinesiology and Health Sciences; the Laboratory School. In addition, students in the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Physics, English, Music and Performing Arts, Visual Art + Design, History and Political Science, World Languages & Cultures, and Mathematics, who are preparing to become teachers are enrolled in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.

The degree Master of Social Work is conferred upon the completion of the MSW curriculum.

The college also offers a doctorate in education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership.

The Southeastern Laboratory School

The University maintains and conducts a Laboratory School in cooperation with Tangipahoa Public School System, which accommodates children in pre-K through the eighth grade. The Laboratory School is a part of the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. The School is designed to provide a varied program of instruction and service to afford opportunities for student observations, pre-professional laboratory experience, in-service education, and research.
