The Department of Visual Art + Design offers a minor in STUDIO ARTS. A minor represents an optional, secondary field of study for an undergraduate student; therefore, no student may declare a major and a minor in the same discipline.
Objectives:
The Minor in Art: Studio Arts introduces non-art majors to a broad overview of visual arts practices, theories and histories across the studio arts. Designed as a complement to existing minors in Graphic Design, Photography, New Media + Animation, and Art History. The Minor in Art: Studio Arts includes courses in the studio arts including painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, and ceramics. Includes a number of flexible paths to completion.
