NUTR 2530 - INTRODUCTION TO FOOD PRINCIPLES AND PREPARATION


3 Credit Hour(s)
An introduction to the principles of food preparation and meal planning, with an emphasis on nutrition and health. Food safety practices, basic cooking techniques, and terms will be addressed. Students will be introduced to the basic skills of nutrition education and promotion through in-class demonstrations.

Prerequisite(s): HDFS majors only or permission of department head.
