SW 2050 - POPULATIONS SERVED IN SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE

3 Credit Hour(s)
The primary purpose of this course is to prepare students to work with populations they will encounter in their professional career. The populations social workers must be trained to work with and represent the broadest spectrum of humanity. Attention is given to understanding social systems, communities, theoretical foundations, and how varied backgrounds and life experiences influence client needs and services. The course is designed to encourage both knowledge building and self-exploration-skills that are essential in social work practice.

Offered: Fall, Spring
