SW 3050 - GENERALIST SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE: MEZZO PRACTICE SKILLS

The primary purpose of this course is to prepare students for generalist social work practice with diverse populations utilizing mezzo skills. It provides specific skills for working with families and groups. Particular attention is given to working in rural settings, to populations-at-risk and to economic and social justice issues. The course will identify practice skills that emphasize strengths, empowerment, advocacy and change.

Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or better in SW 2010 SW 2020 SW 2030 SW 2040 SW 2050 SW 3040 , and admission into professional standing
