HIST 4950 - CRIME IN AMERICAN HISTORY 3 Credit Hour(s) A detailed study of major crimes and criminals in American history, with emphasis on 20th century crime. Special attention given to famous controversial crimes, such as the Lindbergh kidnapping case and the Manson murders. Special features include a history of organized crime in America, procedures of criminal investigation, and use of audio-visual materials. Three units on Historical Trends; Organized Crime; and Controversial Crimes. Lectures, readings, and discussion.
