HIST 4890 - AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY 3 Credit Hour(s) A detailed study of the role of African-Americans in American history from the age of discovery to the present. Three units on the Slave Era (c.1500-1865); Reconstruction, Reaction, and Jim Crow (1865-1945); and the Civil Rights Movement (1945-present). Includes in-depth coverage of the role of women. Lectures, readings, and discussion.
