ET 4800 - ADVANCED STRENGTH OF MATERIALS 3 Credit Hour(s) A study of advanced topics of stress/strain analysis using Finite Element Method (FEM) with application to machine design. Topics include mechanical behaviors of materials and structures subjected to various loading conditions, such as tension, compression, torsion, and flexure. Deflection of prismatic members, columns, and combined stresses will be discussed.
Prerequisite(s): ET 2710 and ET 3810
