NURS 4790 - PROFESSIONAL NURSE ROLE: MANAGER

2 Credit Hour(s)
Focuses on the knowledge and skills in basic organizational and systems leadership for the professional nurse. Presents theories, concepts, and models of health care delivery. Students explore creative roles for managing and leading in nursing. Provides theoretical knowledge and skills to understand organizations, identify leadership theories, and utilize critical thinking in reaching nursing management decisions.

Prerequisite(s): Permission of department head
