ET 4430 - FOUNDATION & SOIL MECHANICS


3 Credit Hour(s)
This course aims to give knowledge and understanding of basic soil properties, weight volume relationship, soil classification, flow of water through soils, soil compaction and bearing capacity. The course also covers the selection and methods of installation of foundations and other soil supported structures, including footings, piles, caissons, and retaining structures. Two hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory per week.

Prerequisite(s): ET 1320  and ET 2710 
Laboratory Fee: A laboratory fee is required for this course.
