A detailed study of European history from the outbreak of the French Revolution to the final defeat of Napoleon. Three units on the Origins and Outbreak of the French Revolution (to 1792); the Reign of Terror and the Thermidorian Reaction (1792-99); and the Napoleonic Era (1799-1815). Includes in-depth coverage of the role of women. Lectures, readings, and discussion.
