SW 4060 - GENERALIST SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE: MACRO PRACTICE SKILLS 3 Credit Hour(s) The primary purpose of this course is to prepare students for generalist social work practice with communities, organizations, and large groups. Special attention is paid to populations at risk and to economic and social justice issues, as well as to issues pertaining to working within bureaucracies. Techniques for program implementation and evaluation are demonstrated. Methods for community assessment, organization, and empowerment are examined.
Prerequisite(s): Admission into professional standing and successful completion of SW 3040 Offered: Fall, Spring
