CJ 3630 - DRUGS, CRIME AND SOCIAL POLICY

This course focuses on the study of sociological and social psychological explanations of drug using behaviors and of the legal and medical control of drugs. Topics include changes in the legal status of drugs, cross cultural and historical variations in the control of drugs and social epidemiology of drug use in contemporary society.

Prerequisite(s): CJ 1010 , CJ 2010 , CJ 2020 , CJ 2040 , and CJ 2050  or permission of department head
