ART 3220 - PHOTOGRAPHY ON ASSIGNMENT 3 Credit Hour(s) This course is designed to enhance students’ exposure to industry-specific professional practices in photography and facilitate hands-on experience with photographic project management in real world applications. Students will examine discourse surrounding editorial photography, commercial photography, and portraiture as they execute a series of guided assignments. Topics covered will include portfolio preparation, file management, studio lighting, post-production, and subject/photographer relationships. Students will complete projects with a focus on the technical, logistical, legal, and ethical concerns specific to photographic practices in the fields of commercial and editorial photography and their potential intersection with contemporary art practices.
Prerequisite(s): ART 1220 and ART 2990 or permission of the department head Laboratory Fee: A laboratory fee is required for this course. Offered: Spring
