EDCI 2500 - INSTRUCTIONAL PLANNING AND ASSESSMENT

[EDUC 307] This course provides pre-service teachers with the principles and techniques necessary to develop sound instructional lesson plans and assessments. Emphasis is on understanding the roles planning and assessment have in daily classroom practice. Course topics include developing standards-aligned instructional objectives, lesson plans, test items, performance based and alternative assessment techniques, and classroom evaluations. Students learn to analyze classroom assessment data and interpret standardized test information, including Louisiana school and district performance scores. Ethical issues related to assessment are discussed.
