BIOL 2230 - MEDICAL MICROBIOLOGY 3 Credit Hour(s) Louisiana Common Course Number: CBIO 2113, Microbiology for Nursing & Allied Health
[MIC]. An introductory course in microbiology with emphasis on the medically important microorganisms and their relationship to disease and immunity. This course is designed primarily for students in Nursing and Allied Health curricula. Additional hours will not be counted toward student’s major or in cumulative GPA average. Three hours lecture per week.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1510 and BIOL 1520 or permission of department head, registration in or prior credit for BIOL 2240 , and all prerequisite courses must have a grade of “C” or better Restrictions: For students majoring or minoring in Biology, credit toward the degree will not be granted for both BIOL 2050 and 2230. Offered: Summer, Fall, Spring
