ART 1240 - BASIC DARKROOM PHOTOGRAPHY 3 Credit Hour(s) This course provides a technical foundation in photography using the traditional darkroom. Students are introduced to analogue techniques and equipment, learn to develop film and produce black and white prints. Assignments and critiques familiarize students with the importance of this equipment in contemporary practice as well as the history of the medium. Emphasis is placed on the connection between content and technique with a development of personal vision.
Prerequisite(s): ART 1220 or permission of department head Laboratory Fee: A laboratory fee is required for this course. Offered: Fall, Spring
