Criminal Justice Minor

The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice awards a minor in Criminal Justice. A minor represents an optional, secondary field of study for an undergraduate student; therefore, no student may declare a major and a minor in the same discipline.

A minor in Criminal Justice will be awarded upon the completion of eighteen semester hours, which must include the following:

Choose 6 Credit Hours from the following:
CJ 2010 - CRIMINAL LAW
CJ 2020 - AMERICAN JUDICIAL PROCESS
CJ 2040 - CONTEMPORARY LAW ENFORCEMENT
CJ 2050 - THE CORRECTIONS PROCESS
CJ Elective from 3000- or 4000-level courses 6 Credit Hours
CJ Elective 3 Credit Hours
(excluding CJ 2010 , CJ 2020 , CJ 2040 , CJ 2050 )
