NLAB 4730 - NURSING CARE OF THE CHILDBEARING FAMILY LAB 3 Credit Hour(s) Provides clinical practice opportunities to synthesize nursing knowledge, use of the nursing process, and to reflect on learning experiences during the care of childbearing families and neonates. Focuses on therapeutic nursing interventions including patient care technologies, information systems and communication devices to promote, maintain, and restore families’ health during the childbearing period. Provides activities for students to further develop critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills. Includes learning experiences in a variety of health care settings with attention to existing health care policies and regulatory guidelines. Nine hours of laboratory a week.
Prerequisite(s): NLAB 3820 and concurrent enrollment in or prior credit for NLAB 4030 and NURS 4710 Laboratory Fee: A laboratory fee is required for this course. Offered: Summer, Fall, Spring
