NURS 4710 - NURSING CARE OF THE CHILDBEARING FAMILY 2 Credit Hour(s) Focuses on the care of neonates and childbearing families throughout the life cycle. Enables students to provide nursing care to the childbearing family during the antepartal, intrapartal, postpartal, neonatal, and menopausal time periods. Content reflects both normal and high-risk care of the family throughout the life cycle. Emphasizes the use of the nursing process, concepts of individual, environment, and health as they pertain to the care of the family.
Prerequisite(s): NLAB 3350 , NURS 3720 , NURS 3750 , NLAB 3820 , and NURS 3830 . Concurrent enrollment in NLAB 4030 and NLAB 4730 encouraged but not required. Laboratory Fee: A laboratory fee is required for this course. Offered: Summer, Fall, Spring
