A critical analysis of issues in healthcare quality and safety and conceptual and scientific approaches to management. This course requires demonstrated competencies in analyzing how quality improvement programs are developed, implemented, and improved; and skills necessary for management in the healthcare environment.

Prerequisite(s): HSM 3650 , HSM 4000 , and HSM 4100 , or permission of department head
