An exploration of individual leadership styles, the characteristics of effective leaders and ways to develop personal goals and strategies for becoming a more effective leader of healthcare teams. Specific leadership concepts include: operational (team performance, commitment and motivation, delegation, and time and stress management); relational (communications, negotiation and conflict management, coaching, and counseling and interviewing); analytic (budgeting, managing financial and human resources, strategic thinking and decision making, and evaluating organizational and personal resources).
