NLAB 4880 - PROMOTING A HEALTHY COMMUNITY LAB 1 Credit Hour(s) Provides opportunities to develop, implement, and evaluate health promotion and disease prevention interventions for target populations, such as individuals, fa miles, groups, or populations throughout the lifespan within a community . Collaborates with other health professionals and members of the community to implement all phases of the nursing process within the community context to provide population focused interventions. Uses evidence-based practices to obtain assessment data, sociocultural characteristics, environmental, and political influences on determinants of health. Functions as a manager and provider of nursing services to a target population within a community, documenting all phases of care and disseminating outcomes of planned population interventions. Three hours of laboratory a week.
Prerequisite(s): NLAB 4030 , NURS 4710 , NLAB 4730 , NURS 4750 , NLAB 4770 , and concurrent or prior credit for NURS 4820 Laboratory Fee: A laboratory fee is required for this course. Offered: Summer, Fall, Spring
