EDCI 3110 - INTRODUCTION TO DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF YOUNG CHILDREN 3 Credit Hour(s) [ECE 311] The course is designed to provide experiences to increase awareness of and knowledge about a variety of assessment procedures appropriate for use with children from birth through eight years of age. Advantages and limitations of assessment techniques will be noted. Considerations used in the interpretation of findings and in making referrals will be discussed. This course provides opportunities to work with assessing children preschool through age eight years old and to develop prescriptive activity plans.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to Teacher Candidacy, EDCI 2450 and EDCI 2500 Concurrent Enrollment: Must be taken concurrently with EDCI 3000 and EDCI 3120 Offered: Fall, Spring
Notes: Competency-based clinical practice required.
