EDCI 3000 - CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (PRE-KINDERGARTEN AND KINDERGARTEN) 3 Credit Hour(s) [ECE 300] This course uses principles and methods of understanding and working with pre-kindergarten and kindergarten children to develop curriculum, plan instruction, and implement practices in the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classroom settings. These standards must reflect current knowledge and shared beliefs in what constitutes high-quality, developmentally appropriate childhood education in the context within which services are delivered.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to Teacher Candidacy, EDCI 2450 and EDCI 2500 Concurrent Enrollment: Must be taken concurrently with EDCI 3110 and EDCI 3120 Offered: Fall, Spring
Notes: Competency-based clinical practice required.
